This is a wooden, hand carved, beautifully observed interpretation of an aged hard working fishing boat with a rusted, weathered finish. Inspiration has been drawn from the trawlers, crabbers and line boats found around our coast in harbours, estuaries and on beaches. This nautical ornament captures the essence of the harsh environment these small ships and their crews endure, this piece has been thoughtfully hand carved from wood and painted to reflect the mix of salt sea beaten wood, rusted metal, smoke and soot found aboard these vessels.
An embodiment of the rustic charm of the aged fishing boat this piece would be a great gift for anyone inspired by coastal walks, harbours, beaches, boats and the deep blue sea. An ornament to embellish any nautical themed decor.

The hull bottom has been shaped so the boat can be displayed at various angles, leaning to port (left) or starboard (right) or it can be displayed vertically.

This is the ‘Newlyn’ style fishing boat hand-made in the UK. Because each carving is unique they have their own listing in the shop. The boat you see here is the one you’ll receive. This boat has a ‘Jack Dust Original’ maker’s mark and has a serial number engraved on the hull. Other similar and unique boats may be found in the shop.
